I sit idle in this corner of the world
Trying to answer the reason of my existence
My inner voice died years ago
When I was made to believe rather then Think
I lived with this fallacy of a soul within me
Denying hypocracy and living in fantasy
The battle has just begun
And I feel my arms go numb
I had fought to survive
But now I enjoy the slide
I love to be ordered as I am unsure about myself
The stampede continues and I enjoy the trend
I love my surroundings which are ordered and perfect
Far away from the misery residing within
I succumb to this pressure to win again n again
But I continue to participate in this materialistic race
Best line of the poem -
ReplyDelete"When I was made to believe rather then Think"
Education really ruins us...We need to unlearn a lot to free our mind...
Well its my favourite line too..
ReplyDeleteStill wonder where life is heading. Is it happiness or materialistic desires that has brought us here...
nice one..:))
ReplyDeleteI believe these two lines form a notion which is followed by every one.. such commendably summed up
"I love to be ordered as I am unsure about myself
The stampede continues and I enjoy the trend"
